The V1 is primarily designed for ease of manufacturing and durability. The first prototypes were made using strips of aluminum or 3d printing, and are fairly traditional mechanically.
Cable is well managed throughout its length and passes through both centers of rotation, requiring no extra slack. Stacked plates connecting the hinge to the headband add curvature while maintaining ease of machining
